Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of mainland Europe, a dramatic promontory where the Serra de Sintra meets the Atlantic Ocean in sheer cliffs roughly 140 metres above the sea. A stone marker at the lighthouse records the coordinates and the words of the Portuguese poet Luís de Camões: "where the land ends and the sea begins."
Guincho beach is a wide, windswept stretch of sand popular for windsurfing and kitesurfing, located within the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. The wild landscape between the Serra de Sintra and the coast is protected, offering a striking contrast of green cliffs and blue Atlantic.
Cascais is a coastal town reached via the scenic Atlantic road. Once a fishing village, it became a royal resort in the late 19th century and retains an elegant character with its marina, historic centre and series of sandy coves. There is time to walk along the waterfront or visit the citadel.
This is a private tour — you travel only with your own group. The itinerary is flexible and can be combined with a visit to Sintra on the same day. Contact GuidedLX via WhatsApp to plan your coastal tour.
